Anita Laurence

Anita’s artistic journey is one of deep connection to the land and the stories it holds. Her work which includes paintings, linocut prints, and etchings is a reflection of the landscapes and social histories of the regions she calls home, in-particular King Valley, North East Victoria and other places she visits.
Her style captures the essence of both natural and man made environments, blending nostalgia with a sense of longing through whimsical imagery.
We can relate to her imagery through our own experiences of traveling to county towns and arriving into the landscapes as we leave the busy cities.
There’s a wonderful graphic element to Anita’s artwork, yet a warm connection.
