This space began as Sarah’s working art studio. Equipt with an etching press and a few benches, she spent time producing her lino-cuts and dry-point etchings out of this space in its early years in 2008.
Over time she invited other artist friends to sell their work and before long it developed organically into a print gallery. Sarah named her business, ‘Lauriston Press’ after the small country town that she lives in, situated between Kyneton & Daylesford.
Today, this gallery represents many local and regional artists. The ever evolving collection includes printmaking, ceramics, drawings (works on paper) paintings and jewellery.
Curated and owned by Sarah, the gallery showcases a high standard of artworks uniquely displayed among sculptures, antique furniture, and with an ever changing presentation of fresh native flowers! New artworks are always coming into the gallery, providing customers with new pieces to enjoy and inspire!
If you’re keen to develop or explore your creativity in art, a range of workshops from drawing to printmaking are also available throughout the year. For more information got to ‘workshops’ on our site.
